Христом Спасителем установлен незыблемый, абсолютный критерий неподдельности отношения к Богу — это наш ближний. Принимая на себя чужие немощи, разделяя боль и скорбь, сострадая несчастным и обездоленным, мы исполняем закон Христов (Гал 6:2) и уподобляемся Спасителю, который взял немощи наши и понёс болезни наши (Ис 53:4).
И невозможно в этот радостный и светоносный день Христова Рождества, когда вся тварь в изумлении припадает к яслям Богомладенца, забывать о других. Та великая благодать, которую мы сегодня получаем в наших храмах, должна обильно пролиться и на тех, кто всё еще за пределами Церкви и живёт по стихиям мира сего, а не по Христу (Кол 2:8). Но если мы с вами не пойдём навстречу — эта Благая Весть может и не дойти до них; если мы с вами не откроем свои сердца, чтобы поделиться переполняющей нас радостью, — она может никогда не прикоснуться к тем, кто ее не имеет, но кто готов ее принять.
Воплощением Сына Божьего человеческая природа вознесена на небывалую высоту. Каждый из нас не только создан «по образу и подобию Божию», но через Христа теперь ещё и усыновлён Богу: мы уже не чужие и не пришельцы, но сограждане святым и свои Богу (Еф 2:19). Об этой близости и дерзновении к Богу говорит и молитва Господня, в которой мы обращаемся к Творцу как к родному Отцу Небесному.
Любая человеческая жизнь бесценна: ведь за неё заплачено Воплощением, Жизнью, Смертью и Воскресением Единородного Сына Божия. Всё это ещё сильнее побуждает нас относиться с особым благоговением и вниманием к каждому человеку, вне зависимости от того, насколько он отличен от нас. По мысли святителя Московского Филарета (Дроздова), «любовь есть живое и деятельное участие в благосостоянии другого». К этой деятельной любви и хочется прежде всего призвать всех в эти радостные дни Рождества Христова: быть, по слову апостола Павла, (Рим 12:10-11, Евр 13:16.)

Следуя призыву Его Святейшества миряне и клирики Петропавловской и Камчатской епархии провели огромную рождественскую благотворительную акцию «Спасите Детские мечты». Дети из детского дома для умственно отсталых детей из п. Ягодный написали свои заветные желания и настоящие мечты. Многие из ребят не смогут писать никогда, они рисовали свои мечты, как могли!
Наручные часы, мягкие игрушки, ноутбук, планшет, батарейки и говорящие собачки с книжками раскрасками превратили праздник в настоящую сказку!
Одна мечта девочки – подростка Ксении, которая прикована к инвалидной коляске потрясла организаторов, она не просила игрушек или планшетов, она попросила у Деда Мороза хотя бы один раз узнать, как празднуют Рождество Христово настоящие семьи, куда они ходят, и что кушают?
Владелица ресторана «Макс денс» Евгения Воронова исполнила мечту Ксении. Весь коллектив во главе шеф- повара радушно встретил Ксюшу в гостях, она смогла не только попробовать изысканные блюда, и напитки, но и сама приготовила пиццу и роллы. Ребята бармены подарили ей цветы, а администрация мягкую игрушку и сладкий букет из зефира, шоколада и пастилы. Ксения в конце праздника сказала одно: «Сегодняшний день, я не забуду никогда – это настоящая сказка!»
