Любители истории знают древний обычай, когда перед сражением проводится поединок между сильнейшими воинами двух сторон. В 1380 году на Куликовском поле, накануне сражения, произошел подобный поединок между иноком Александром Пересветом и ордынским воином Челубеем.
В этом году празднуется 600-летие обретения мощей преп. Сергия Радонежского, и отец Роман со своими помощниками, в рамках епархиальной игры «Зарница», решили инсценировать данный поединок, но только в интеллектуальном ключе — провели «Богатырский баттл».
Каждой команде предстояло ответить на ряд вопросов, касающихся эпохи великого князя Дмитрия Донского и преп. Сергия Радонежского. За каждый правильный ответ «Пересвет» получал возможность облачиться в один элемент доспехов. Если ответ был неверным, то право облачения переходило к «Челубею». Команда побеждала, если «Пересвет» облачался первым. Проигравшей команде были положены дополнительные физические упражнения.
Все шесть команд прошли Богатырский баттл успешно, кто-то с лёгкостью проявил свои знания истории, а кому-то пришлось поднапрячься.
