Святитель Николай Чудотворец, архиепископ Мир Ликийских, прославился как великий угодник Божий. Именно этот святой взял под свое покровительство Духовно-просветительский центр Петропавловской и Камчатской епархии.
В «Николиной усадьбе», под его молитвенной защитой вот уже четвёртый год растет и завивается центр, это уникальное место в столице Камчатского края. Под одной крышей мирно уживаются и домовой храм с приходом, в котором чуть больше 120 человек. Учебные классы, православная библиотека, кафе, спортзал и киноконцертный зал на 250 человек. Центр работает без выходных. Богослужения совершаются каждую субботу и воскресенье, в среду молебен на распев перед частицей мощей великого нашего заступника. В субботу панихида, а после Воскресной Божественной Литургии – детский молебен.
Приход, как одна большая семья, вместе радуемся и вместе трудимся. Наши семьи — супруги Ослоповские, Гумеровы, Жиленковы, Роор, Некрашевич, Богдан, семьи Волковы, Надежденские, Атласовы, Солошеч, Коваленко, Закировы, Черникович, Трегубовы, и многие другие — всегда готовы прийти на помощь! Наша большая семья – приемная — мы, можно сказать, усыновили 12 ребят из детского дома. Они тоже стали неотъемлемой частью «Николиной усадьбы».
Хочется от всей души поблагодарить каждого, кто прилагает усилия и свои труды во славу Божию и трудится в его скромном уголке в нашей необъятной православной России.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said «You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.» She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
