3 февраля настоятель храма в честь св. Николая Чудотворца при духовно-просветительском центре Петропавловской и Камчатской епархии иеромонах Софроний (Медведенко) покинул Камчатский край и приступил к служению на новом месте в Хабаровской митрополии.
Совершив в этот день Божественную Литургию, отец Софроний обратился на проповеди к мирянам: «Дорогие братья и сестры! Я искренно рад и впечатлен, сколько людей меня знают! Рад, что служение – несение слова Божьего, смогло собрать стольких людей и объединить вокруг храма Николая Чудотворца и Духовно-просветительского центра!
Митрополит Хабаровский и Приамурский Артемий своими трудами возвел это замечательное здание, чтобы мы, православные, могли иметь возможность для молитв, встреч и общения, вместе праздновать православные праздники, и тем самым создавать условия для воспитания детей и подростков. Духовные плоды за эти пять лет, это, конечно же, вы, наши уважаемые семьи!
В своей жизни я всегда поступал по послушанию, такова жизнь священника, монаха, не выбирать чего я хочу, а как Господь определит через руководителей. Мне не легко уезжать. Пока не знаю своего нового послушания, но твердо верю, что Господь не оставит и даст служение по силам.
Благодарю вас, за помощь, за все эти пять лет. Прошу ваших молитв!
