26 октября в Камчатском выставочно-инвестиционном центре прошла VIII краевая Ярмарка социальных инициатив (проектов), на которой жители и гости Камчатки могли познакомиться с деятельностью некоммерческих организаций, инициативных объединений из Петропавловска-Камчатского, Паланы, Усть-Камчатского, Елизовского, Мильковского, Алеутского, Усть-Большерецкого, Быстринского районов, с их достижениями и вкладом в развитие нашего региона. Мероприятие является ежегодным публичным событием в рамках региональной программы поддержки социально ориентированных некоммерческих организаций и проводится Камчатским краевым центром поддержки СО НКО по заказу Агентства по внутренней политике Камчатского края.
Представители Петропавловской и Камчатской епархии приняли участие в Ярмарке социальных проектов: РОО «Союз православных женщин Камчатки», Духовно-просветительский центр «Сретение», Духовно-благотворительный центр «Нечаянная радость», Родовая община коренного малочисленного народа коряков «Живоносный Источник».
Духовно-просветительским центром был представлен проект «Духовные основы русской культуры» о проведении на Камчатке недели Третьяковской галереи. В этом году география проекта распространилась до Командорских островов. Всё население Алеутского района в течение недели слушали лекции искусствоведа Третьяковской галереи Любовь Яковлевны Ушаковой, которая познакомила жителей с шедеврами Русской школы иконописи художников Рокотова, Тропинина, Перова, Репина, Серова. Родители и школьники прослушали лекции: «Шедевры живописи русских художников (творчество Карла Брюллова, Александра Иванова, Маковского, Васнецова, Сурикова, Репина), пейзаж в русской живописи (художники Саврасов, Айвазовский, Куинджи, Шишкин, Поленов), портрет в русском искусстве (художники Рокотов, Тропинин, Перов, Репин, Серов), «Любовь, верность, святость в русской истории», «Святые воины. Князья. Митрополиты».
Впервые жители Командорских островов смогли увидеть картины и побывать в залах Третьяковской галереи благодаря лекциям Л.Я. Ушаковой.
Ярким моментом в Ярмарке было участие детей детского дома №2 г.Петропавловска-Камчатского. Третий год на базе духовно-просветительского центра, с целью подготовки выпускников к самостоятельному проживанию после выпуска из детского дома, успешно реализуется проект «Я рядом!».
