9 апреля 2019 года в духовно-просветительском центе выступит уникальный творческий коллектив — ХОР ВАЛААМСКОГО МОНАСТЫРЯ с новой концертной программой «ЕСЕНИН».
Образами любимого народного поэта Сергея Есенина повествуется о человеке, который живет среди нас, печалится и радуется, любит и страдает. О человеке, который ищет Бога, ищет истину. На своем пути он ошибается и падает, поднимается, и снова теряет дорогу. В какой-то момент, увлекаемый грехом, он падает в пропасть и почти гибнет, но находит в себе силы и, оттолкнувшись от дна, через Веру устремляется ввысь. Прикоснувшись к Небесам, он понимает, что Господь никогда не оставлял его. Он всегда был рядом. Он был в сердце.
В программе прозвучат песни и романсы на стихи С. Есенина, старинные церковные распевы, русская классическая и современная духовная музыка.
Хор Валаамского монастыря был создан в августе 2005 года по случаю восстановления и освящения главной святыни Валаамской обители — Спасо-Преображенского собора, и является церковнопевческим коллективом, ежегодно участвующим в Патриарших богослужениях на Валааме. Ведущей идеей работы Хора является культурно-просветитепьская деятельность и духовно-патриотическое воспитание посредством создания музыкально—поэтических, исторических, мемориальных тематических программ.
К 2018 году Хор дал более 500 концертов в городах России, а также за рубежом, создал ряд концертных программ — «Мелодии русской души»‚ «Вера и Победа», «Забытая война», «Свет Христов просвещает всех» и многие другие.
